Developing community-based small-scale agriculture to increase local food production

To provide training in environmentally friendly and technologically appropriate practices in farming and off-farming activities to small scale farmers to improve their livelihoods. The Sustainable Agriculture & Development ;program conducts Farmer Field Schools, Training of Trainers, and Farmer to Farmer exchange programs in Integrated Pest Management, appropriate technologies and also conducts study tours for farmers to expose them to new technology, research and skills. Thus resulting in diversified and increased agricultural production, increased cash incomes, greater food security and improved nutrition.
